#3 – It’s Not Me, It’s YOU
Use the word “You” more often than you use the word “I”.
Truth is, people don’t care about you.
They want to know what’s in it for them.
So if your copy is full of “I did this” or “I did that”, then you’ll lose their interest.
Make it about them.
#4 – Know Your Audience
Who are you writing for?
What’s your customer avatar look like?
You need to get to know your audience, so that you can use the language they use.
Many niches have common words that people use and if you’re not using them then you can lose your authenticity.
Hang around in groups, forums and on YT channels and get to know the language.
Then use it in your own copy.
#5 – Have An Outline
There needs to be a reason for your copy.
Having an outline is a great way to make sure you have this.
The AIDA principle is a useful one to use.
Attention – This is your hook/headline. Grab their attention so that they continue to read/watch.
Interest – Build on your hook and keep their interest going for longer. Keep on topic from what you’ve promised at the beginning.
Desire – Transition into creating desire about your promise. Tell them how they can actually achieve it for themselves.
Action – Tell them what to do. Join your Facebook group, subscribe to your channel, send you a message, join your email list. Whatever action you want them to take, tell them what to do.
Hope these 5 copywriting tips for affiliate marketing help.
