I’m sure you’ve heard this before.
But it’s SO true.
If you’re focusing on the outcome, the money, the $10,000 a month, the freedom, the lifestyle, then you’re probably going to struggle to get there.
Because you’ll not be focusing correctly on your content.
You’ll create as fast as possible, just to get things done.
Do the bare minimum.
And then get no results, become frustrated and give up.
Sigh.
In a recent interview, MrBeast (the You-Tuber) was asked how he managed to create a Billion dollar business. And his answer was (I’m paraphrasing):
“I just focus on creating the next video, making it bigger and better than the last one”.
And that’s the attitude you should be taking with your online business.
Focus on the content, whether it’s a YT video, FB post, Tweet, TikTok or whatever platform you use.
Keep learning, growing, improving and the money will follow.
How this worked for me…
Back in 2003-2004, I bought a software program that made websites out of keyword lists. You could literally build a 10,000 page website in less than an hour. And back then, get them indexed in days too.
So I got to work and made 1 or 2 websites a day, whilst working in a full-time job.
All I did was focus on getting these sites out there every day. Each one had Google Adsense on them but I had no idea if they would make money.
I just stuck to the plan of building.
Before I knew it, I had my first $10 day. Then my first $100 day. Then $500. Then $1,000 in one day.
Shortly after, Google got wise and started removing these mass sites from their index.
But it was enough for me to see the potential of making money online and I quit that job to go full-time.
If I hadn’t stuck to the process and trusted the work, then I may still have a boss to this day.
So the main take away from this post, focus on doing the work and making it the best you can.
Trust the process and the results will come.
