Do you know why the Lamborghini Aventador sucks?
Because I can’t afford to buy one.
But joking aside, have you ever noticed that you don’t see car companies like Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley or Rolls Royce advertising on TV?
The reason why is simple…
The people at home watching TV are NOT their target audience.
You don’t get CEO’s of huge companies sat watching TV in their homes. They are working hard to be able to afford to buy the luxuries that their high paying jobs give them.
The same can be said for Entrepreneurs.
There’s a great phrase “Today I will do what others won’t, so that tomorrow I can do what others can’t”.
The mindset that Entrepreneurs have has to be like this. They know that if they work their ass off for maybe 2-5 years, they can probably then retire and enjoy the rest of their lives without ever having to worry about money.
So it’s surprising why other people struggle to adopt this mentality. Others just want to focus on getting money now, no matter if it’s not reliable and may disappear.
They don’t realise they can build something that will last for years.
Focusing on the short term gains will never get you rich.
You have to focus on the roots of a tree before you can get the fruit.
Focus on the roots and you’ll have all the fruit you’ll ever need.
Focus on the fruit and your tree will probably never even grow a single one, if it does then your tree certainly won’t last for very long.
And business can be treated the exact same way.
Focus on things that will last you in the long term. Keep doing more of those things. When the time comes when those things start paying off, you’ll be set for life.
Ramblings over….oh if someone can lend me £271,146 so that I can buy that Lambo, you know where I am 🙂
